I’ve lived in Dublin in Ireland since 2007 and have an Irish wife called Louise.
Before Dublin I lived in the beautiful Scottish capital city of Edinburgh for around 12 years. I made loads of friends there, and still have very fond memories of my time in Scotland.
Before that, I went to university in Liverpool in the England, and I grew up in North Yorkshire market town of Knaresborough.
If we know each other please do get in contact to say hello!
I started out my career as a Software Engineer for a number of years before transitioning to become a Business Analyst. I liked the idea of bringing more clarity to the documentation of systems requirements, and being an effective communication bridge between business stakeholders and the development team.
In 2015 I transitioned into Agile development and started working as a Product Owner, embedded in agile teams to own and prioritise the product backlog. In 2017 I became certified as a SAFe Agile Product Owner amnd Product Manager. I now help coach colleagues in agile development practise.
Outside of work
I’m a semi-professional classical singer. Between 2007 and 2015 I was a tenor Lay Vicar Choral in Christ Church Cathedral. I now sing in the choir of St Ann’s Dawson Street, and also in the Mornington Singers.
In addition to choral music, I have a keen interest in technology and gadgets. I’m also a bit of a cycling advocate, and use my bike as my main source of transportation.
